Relationships with the local community enhances the curriculum and provides an environment of shared social connection.

Advocacy for sustainability, environment awareness, healthy eating and physical activity is a role of importance for the Early Years.
Exploring diversity and creating networks within our profession is important in advocating for early childhood education.
Nurturing established relationships within the wider community. We are a central link to support services and information for our community.
In planning learning activities to connect children and their community.
EDUCATORS

In employing educators who are committed to the children and their families with an emphasis of consistency in staffing.
In lifelong learning for all educators through professional development.
In the importance of creating an environment of collegiality where personal and professional contributions are valued and communication is open.

FAMILIES
Budgewoi Preschool Believes;
Collaboration with families is their right to involvement and integral to high-quality curriculum.
Diversity and cultural differences are fostered through respectful and understanding relationships.
Children's development, needs, interest's, experiences and participation in the curriculum are to be shared with families.

All families should feel accepted, valued and safe.
CHILD
Budgewoi Preschool Believes;
Early childhood education is the foundation for learning and development throughout life.
Children are individuals who are capable and resourceful learners, who actively contribute to their own learning.
Interactions with children create respectful, secure and meaningful relationships that facilitate responsive relationships with other children and adults. We know this is pivotal for children's learning.
Play based learning is valued and used to foster the Early Years Learning Framework outcomes with a focus on children's strengths.
Children's interests are incorporated into the curriculum which in turn creates the foundation for meaningful experiences.
Inclusion is a right for every child. All children, regardless of their ability, socio-economic status or cultural background, may access and participate in the service.
Positive attitudes towards differences and similarities promote an environment of diversity.
The environment is seen as a 'third teacher', resources and spaces are a tool to enhance a child's learning and development.
Providing quality care and education that fosters health and wellbeing for every child.
